Word is a word processing program. In this course teachers will learn to use Word to collaborate, create professional looking documents and use different templates.

I learned so many new things today. I love the speech option, notebook format, mass labeling, inserting picture from PhotoBooth, and much more. I love the calendar feature, I am creating one for the rest of the year right now. didn't like business cards, no offense Sallie :) I also learned Sticky post its from Donnelle. LOVE it! Very fun class! I also like learning all the ways to format pictures and documents. Danae
I had no idea that Word had so much in it other than the stuff I already know. I can't wait to have my students listen to their own stories. What a great editing tool for them to hear their stories. I have used labels and business cards but did not know how to customize them. Thanks for the information even though it was kind of a funny class.

This was a great class!! I learned how to use so many new options. I especially liked the label option. I have been wanting to use this for such a long time. I also learned how to take a photo of myself. I can even make my own business cards. Thanks so much. Renee Beckstead
One of the thing that I found most interesting about Word 2011 is that there are many different features than those available on Word 2008. For example the toolbar ribbon has a bunch of features just sitting there, and for that reason the formatting toolbar is not present. Another interesting fact (and the main reason I cannot stand to use the white Apple that Shad provided me) is Word 2011 is very similar to Word 2007 on the PC, which is easier for me to use as I am more familiar with that version than 2008 on Apple. I like Pages regarding some things but prefer Word most of the time.

I esp.loved the tool bar that had the speech selection...can't wait to show the resource teachers ( this will be part of my hours..) I want to try labels too- ( have used in the past, but had forgotten ) Thanks-

As always, another great class! There were so many things that I learned. I never knew in my toolbar that there was a speech option. This will be great to use with my students. I’m glad we learned how to make labels. I always beg the secretary to make them for me. Now, I will make customized ones with a clip art image. Thanks again for helping me learn more about Word.

great class! I learned a lot more than I thought I would! I loved the voice recording document, and the option of having the computer read your paper out loud to you. That was very cool. I love using the calendar in word, and have enjoyed playing with the business card layouts!! Fun class... looking forward to the others!
