I really like the features of Google Earth. The ability to demonstrate a history lesson with an interactive map. It also give the students an interactive medium to give and share a state report for 5th grade. Students could research their state and record and discuss points of interest with 3D interactive landscapes and street views features. This should be funner for young students, rather than finding pictures on the internet, magazines, or newspapers and gluing them onto a poster.

great class- I love the idea of the tour to different locations. In speech, I could use this to compare and contrast different landforms, or have them describe any location and practice their articulation and syntax. thanks

The use of Google Earth is great for home use as well as school. How many times do we want to look at a destination without having to drive there and check it out.

For education, this is priceless. The kids are better masters at mouse controls then us. They would pick the navigation up quickly. The fact that they could work from home on projects is also wonderful. I agree with Brett's comments above. How many times do our resource kids need help with the state reports? Always! This would give the parents a chance to bond and work with the kids at home.

I am going to plan some trips for this summer!

I think Google Earth is the greatest!! I love to be able to see places that I'd like to go to ahead of time. I love to study the planets with my students. I love to make maps so that I can get where I want to get without problems. Thanks for the class. It was great!! Renee Beckstead

Google Earth is a fascinating geographic program. Thank you for helping me download it to use for myself and with my students. As part of the First Grade curriculum, the students learn and explore for the first time all about maps and globes. This many featured site with provide many opportunities visually in making connections to their world and self. I am excited to add what is available on Google Earth to enhance their learning and understanding using this technology.

Great Class!
