I really like Pages and can see how it will really make doing projects for myself and my class fun and easier than using Word. I am excited to practice so I can feel more proficient using this. (Of course after I take the class 3 times it ought to be easier) Thanks for teaching an old dog new tricks.

Well, this was a good class for me to come to as my 6th grade resource students are using this program to create projects this year. When they came in to get help, I had no idea what this program was. Camille was able to help one of my kids transfer the info to his school folder when he experienced problems.
This got me interested in Pages and now I will begin to use it to help my 5th and 6th grade students. I will introduce it to my 5th graders next week to help complete different segments of their state reports and this will give me practice with the templates.

I have heard about pages, but had never used it. I enjoyed learning about it and how to use it. It will still take me a lot of practice before I get as comfortable with it as I am with word. I really like the idea of making posters and being able to use a larger font than with word. I can see how easy it would be for the students to be able to use it for class projects, reports and more! Love it!

What a great class! This program was enjoyable to learn about. However, it was a crash course. There is so much to it! With practice, I can see how easy our class projects can be. Using many graphic tools and templates our work will look professional!
Thanks again,

I really like how Pages would be easier for students to manipulate and use than perhaps Word. I like the Inspector option that helps navigate, create, and change the text body a little better. Also, I like how Pages does not have an annoying paperclip icon that constantly pops up any random time making "recommendations" or "suggestion" while I work. Because I recommend that you shut up and leave me alone paperclip man! However, I probably will continue to use Word more than Pages personally, mainly because of the many years of experience with it.

I was a die hard fan of appleworks and was really sad when I realized I needed to give it up for Word. I could do anything and make a page look any way I wanted to. Word was a hard switch! I am so happy to learn pages. I am excited to see the capabilities of the graphic/design side of the program.

I had my kids try one super simple project already. We were writing a letter to a classmate who moved. We put lines on the page and they included a picture. (They hand wrote the letter.) They were to take a picture, put it in iphoto and pull it into the shape on the template. They did not want to do MY shape however, so most of them changed it with a 30 second explanation. Excellent!

Thanks for the great class.
